About me
Hi, I'm Kim the Director of Educational Technology for iLEAD Schools. After over two decades igniting young minds in the elementary classroom, I've embarked on an exciting new chapter in 2024, dedicating myself full-time to empowering educators with the transformative power of educational technology. As a wife and mother, I understand the importance of both nurturing growth and fostering a love of learning, a principle that drives my work. Whether it's collaborating with IT to ensure seamless platform functionality, diving deep into the latest edtech innovations, or leveraging technology to unlock every student's potential, my passion lies in creating dynamic and engaging learning experiences.
My dedication to sharing best practices extends to the podium, where I've presented at the Teach LA conference, the California Association for the Gifted (CAG) conference, and the STEM conference at College of the Canyons. I've also had the honor of being a keynote speaker for SCV Principal for a Day, and I regularly lead professional development trainings on various edtech platforms, Google Suite teaching tools, and, of course, the exciting applications of AI in education.
My teaching journey, which has included supporting English Language Learners, Gifted learners, and students with learning disabilities, has always been rooted in rigor and engagement. I'm proud of my past recognitions, including Los Angeles County Teacher of the Year 2015-2016 and California Association for the Gifted Distinguished Service Award Winner 2019. When I'm not immersed in the world of education, you can find me enjoying quality time with my family, camping under the stars, getting lost in a good book, finding my center in a Pilates class, or tending to my garden.
